Some of the regional focus areas include expansion of broadband fiber throughout the region, a revolving small/new business loan fund, hazard/risk mitigation and disaster recovery assistance, redevelopment of brownfield sites, and management of opportunity zones that allow tax deferrals and breaks for distressed areas targeted for redevelopment.
A Regional Equity Assessment study was conducted in 2023 to measure diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts and identify trends. The report contains research findings and recommendations that address current social, economic, and structural conditions across our communities.
