PTRDC is a non-profit corporation headquartered in Kernersville, North Carolina.  The mission of the PTRDC is to improve economic prosperity across the Piedmont Triad.  This is accomplished in two primary ways.  First, by providing strategic direction and action plans for various economic development initiatives.  Secondly, by providing management consultation to multiple enterprises to increase efficiency and profitability.

The PTRDC has been designated as the Economic Development District by the US Economic Development Administration.  An affiliated organization of the Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC), the Development Corporation focuses specifically on economic development initiatives in the 12-county NC Piedmont Triad region (Alamance, Caswell, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Montgomery, Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, and Yadkin Counties).
